Terms of Service
Last updated: October 3, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Migala Inc (“Migala”, “we”, “us”), the operator of migala.ph. By creating an account or using Migala, you agree to them, to our Privacy Policy and to our Community guidelines. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Migala.
1. What Migala is, and what it isn’t
Migala connects people planning events (“hosts”) with businesses and individuals who provide event services (“suppliers”). Hosts describe what they need; suppliers send proposals; hosts compare them and decide.
Migala is a connection platform. We are not an event planner, organizer, supplier or booking agency. We don’t provide event services, we aren’t a party to any agreement between a host and a supplier, and we don’t guarantee that a supplier will deliver, perform or show up, or that a host will hire anyone or pay. The host always makes the final decision.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement under Philippine law.
- One person, one account. Keep your sign-in details private; you’re responsible for what happens under your account.
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date, including a working email address. Some features need a confirmed email.
- One account can both host and supply. You switch between the two from your account; the same terms apply to both.
- If you sign up or act for a business, you confirm you’re allowed to bind that business to these terms.
3. Hosting an event
- Staff review every event before it goes live. We may ask for changes or decline an event that breaks these terms or our Community guidelines.
- Describe your event honestly: the date, place, guests, budget and services you need.
- Keep contact details (phone numbers, emails, links, social media handles and messaging apps) out of your event text. Talk to suppliers through Migala until you choose one.
- Choosing a supplier for a service closes that service to other proposals and tells the other suppliers they weren’t selected. Choose only when you mean it.
- You can edit a live event within the limits shown on the edit page, cancel a service that has no chosen supplier, or cancel the whole event. Cancelling affects suppliers who spent credits to propose, so please do it only when plans really change. We may flag accounts that cancel often.
4. Supplying
- Creating a listing is free. Staff review new listings before they go live, and may ask for changes or decline a listing.
- Your listing must describe a real business or service you provide, with prices, photos and details that are accurate and yours to use.
- You’re responsible for having the permits, licences, registrations and insurance your services need, and for paying your own taxes. A “verified” badge means staff checked some details; it isn’t an endorsement or a guarantee.
- Viewing events is free. Sending a proposal costs credits (see section 5). A proposal is an offer from you to the host; once a host chooses it, the agreement is between the two of you.
- You may only contact a host first after they have messaged you or asked you for a quote.
- Don’t send proposals you can’t honour, and don’t use proposals to advertise or to push contact outside Migala.
5. Credits and payments
- Suppliers buy credits in packs to send proposals. Each proposal shows its credit cost before you send it. Prices are shown in Philippine pesos at checkout.
- Payments are handled by PayMongo. We never see or store your card or e-wallet details. PayMongo’s own terms apply to the payment.
- Credits are added to your account once the payment is confirmed. They don’t expire, can’t be transferred to another account, have no cash value and can only be used on Migala.
- Credits are spent oldest first. Your balance can’t go below zero; if you don’t have enough credits, you won’t be able to send the proposal.
- When you get a credit back: if a host cancels a service or the whole event while your proposal for it is still in the running, the credits you spent on it come back to your balance automatically.
- When you don’t: credits aren’t returned when a proposal is withdrawn by you, expires, is declined or isn’t selected, or when a host cancels after choosing you.
- Credit purchases are final and aren’t refunded in money, except where Philippine law requires it or where a payment was taken in error (for example, charged twice). Contact us at help@migala.com.ph within 30 days of the charge and we’ll look into it. We’ll still look at later reports, but can’t promise a refund. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 15 working days.
- We may give free credits (for example a welcome bonus or a promotion). They follow these same rules unless the offer says otherwise.
- We may change pack prices for future purchases. Credits you already have keep their value.
6. Messages and contact details
Messages on Migala are for planning an event. Until a host chooses a supplier, both sides keep contact details out of listings, events, proposals and messages; our forms refuse phone numbers, emails, links, social media handles and messaging apps. Once a supplier is chosen, how you stay in touch is up to you.
We may limit how often you send messages, and we keep messages and attachments as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Reviews
A host can review a supplier once they’ve chosen that supplier’s proposal and the event date has passed. Reviews must be honest, based on your own experience and follow our Community guidelines. You can edit your review later. We may remove reviews that break these terms. Suppliers may not offer anything in exchange for a review, or ask for one to be changed or removed.
8. Listings Migala adds, and claims
To help hosts find businesses that haven’t joined yet, we may list a business from public information, marked “Listed by Migala”. If it’s your business, you can claim the listing by proving you control it (for example with a code sent to the business’s email). Claiming is free. Once claimed, the listing and its content are yours to manage under these terms. If you’d rather we take it down, contact us at help@migala.com.ph.
9. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post: listing details, photos, event descriptions, proposals, messages and reviews. You give Migala a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, display, reproduce, resize and share that content to run and promote Migala (for example, showing your listing in search results or on social media), for as long as it’s on Migala and for a reasonable time after you remove it.
You confirm you have the rights to everything you post, and that it doesn’t infringe anyone else’s rights. If you think something on Migala infringes your rights, tell us at help@migala.com.ph.
10. What you may not do
- Break the law or our Community guidelines.
- Post false, misleading or someone else’s information, photos or reviews.
- Harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone.
- Take conversations or payments off Migala before a supplier is chosen to avoid the platform.
- Create more than one account, share an account, or impersonate someone.
- Scrape, copy or collect data from Migala, or use bots or automated tools on it.
- Try to break into, overload or interfere with Migala, or get around its limits.
11. Moderation, suspension and closing your account
We may remove content, decline or unpublish events and listings, limit features, or suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk. Where we can, we’ll tell you why. If we close your account for breaking these terms, unused credits are forfeited.
You can stop using Migala at any time. To close your account, email help@migala.com.ph from the address on your account. Unused credits can’t be refunded when you close your account, except where the law requires it.
12. Disputes between hosts and suppliers
Agreements, payments, deposits, cancellations and deliveries between a host and a supplier are between them. We don’t mediate or guarantee them. If something goes wrong, tell us anyway: we can act on accounts that break these terms.
13. Disclaimers
Migala is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we don’t promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free or that information posted by members is correct. We don’t vet every supplier, host, listing or event, and we’re not responsible for what members say or do, on or off Migala.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent Philippine law allows, Migala is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, or for anything arising from an agreement, event or service between a host and a supplier. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₱1,000 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
15. Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against Migala because of your content, your event or services, or your breach of these terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Migala changes. We’ll post the new version here with a new date and, for important changes, tell you by email or on the site before they take effect. If you keep using Migala after that, you accept the new terms.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute goes to the courts of Pasig City, Philippines, unless the law gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
