Community guidelines

Last updated: October 3, 2026

Migala works when hosts can trust what they read and suppliers can trust that an event is real. These guidelines are the short version of how to make that happen. They sit alongside our Terms of Service; breaking them can mean content is removed or an account is limited or closed.

Be real

  • Hosts: post events you’re actually planning, with an honest date, place, guest count and budget. A budget doesn’t have to be final, but it should be what you expect to spend.
  • Suppliers: list a business or service you really provide. Use your own photos and work, real prices and packages, and only the areas you can actually serve.
  • One person, one account. Don’t pretend to be someone else or another business.

Keep contact details on Migala until a supplier is chosen

Until a host chooses a supplier, all talk happens on Migala. Don’t put phone numbers, email addresses, links, social media handles or messaging apps (Viber, WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger and the like) in events, listings, proposals or messages. Our forms will stop you, and working around them (spelling numbers out, “find us on IG”, pictures of contact details) isn’t allowed either.

Why: it keeps hosts from being flooded before they’ve decided, and it keeps the process fair for every supplier who spent credits to propose. Once a supplier is chosen, how you stay in touch is up to you.

Make proposals worth reading

  • Answer what the host asked for: the services, date and guest count in the event.
  • Be clear about what’s included, what isn’t and what the price covers.
  • Only confirm you’re free on the date if you are.
  • Don’t send a proposal just to advertise, or the same copy-paste to every event.

Decide with care

  • Hosts: compare, ask questions, shortlist, then choose. Choosing closes the service and tells the others they weren’t selected, so choose when you mean it.
  • Cancel a service or an event only when plans really change. Suppliers spent credits on your event; frequent cancellations are flagged to our staff.
  • If you’ve chosen a supplier and need to cancel, tell them yourself through Messages.

Be respectful

  • No harassment, threats, insults or pressure, in messages or anywhere else.
  • No discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or any other personal characteristic.
  • A “no” or “not this time” is a normal part of the process. Accept it gracefully.
  • Don’t keep messaging someone who has stopped replying.

Write honest reviews

  • Review only the supplier you actually chose for an event that happened.
  • Describe your own experience: what went well and what didn’t. Be specific and fair.
  • No reviews in exchange for discounts, freebies or credits, and no reviews of your own business or a competitor’s.
  • Suppliers: don’t pressure a host to change or remove a review. If a review breaks these guidelines, report it to us.

Keep it legal and safe

  • Only offer services you’re allowed to provide, with the permits and licences they need.
  • No illegal, dangerous or adult services, and nothing that breaks Philippine law.
  • Don’t post anyone’s personal information without their permission.
  • Don’t post content that isn’t yours to use: photos, logos or text belonging to someone else.

Don’t game Migala

  • No fake events, fake listings or fake reviews.
  • No scraping, bots or automated messages.
  • Don’t try to get around limits, reviews or the credit system.

What happens when something goes wrong

Our staff review every event and new listing before it goes live. When something breaks these guidelines, we may ask you to fix it, remove it, limit what your account can do, or close the account, depending on how serious it is and whether it’s happened before. Where we can, we’ll tell you why.

Tell us

If you see something that breaks these guidelines, or someone makes you feel unsafe, email us at help@migala.com.ph with a link to the event, listing, profile or conversation. We read every report.
